THE NEW NARRATIVE

The Black man--
He who must learn how to bend and not break.
Conflicted and torn
by unrealistic expectations
imposed on him by society
and at times his own community.
Life
feels to me like an eternal pursuit of flexibility
Adapting to unseen forces.
Internal. External. INTERNAL.

But, I am strong. 
I am the new narrative.
